Once you upgrade your Town Center to level 6 in Kingshot, you unlock the Court of Justice. This lets you activate decrees in your town. There are a few different ones, but the most useful by far is Double Time.
I see so many players stacking millions of Contentment and never using it on decrees—especially Double Time, which is a huge missed opportunity. This decree cuts 20% off the construction time for all building upgrades you start in the next 5 minutes. It has a 1-day cooldown, so you can only use it once per day.
Upgrade times after Town Center level 25 get really long—some take weeks. So that 20% time reduction from Double Time can save you days and help your base grow a lot faster.
How to use Double Time the right way:
- Activate Double Time before starting your upgrade.
- If it’s on cooldown, wait it out. Sure, you might save a few hours by starting early, but waiting can save you days once Double Time is ready again—totally worth it.
- Double Time works differently from normal construction speed boosts (like those from research, VIP, or the Chief Minister). Those bonuses stack with each other. But Double Time cuts 20% from the base construction time first, and then all your other bonuses get applied afterward.
So yeah, if you use Double Time regularly and smartly, you’ll save a ton of time and level up your Town Center way faster.
