There are different types of resource protections in Kingshot, and many players find them confusing. In this article, I’ll explain the difference between secured resources and non-secured resources so you can understand how they work.
Types of Resource Protection
There are three types of resource protection in the game:
1. Secured Resources (100% Safe)
These resources cannot be stolen by enemies, no matter what. They come from:
- Resources generated by your buildings (like Quarry, Sawmill, etc.)
- Offline income
Since these are completely safe, we don’t need to worry about them.
2. Non-Secured Resources (Can Be Stolen)
These are the resources that are at risk when you’re attacked. They include:
- Resources you collect from the backpack
- Gathering on the world map
- Raiding other bases
These can be stolen unless they’re within your storehouse protection limit.
3. Storehouse Protected Resources
Your storehouse protects a portion of your non-secured resources. However, it has a capacity limit, and anything beyond that can still be plundered. The protection limit depends on your storehouse level.
How Resource Protection Works
Let’s break it down with examples.
Example 1:
You have a Level 15 Storehouse with a capacity of 3.2M for most resources. Here’s how it works:
- Bread: 3.2M protected
- Wood: 3.2M protected
- Stone: 640K protected (1/5th of the main capacity)
- Iron: 160K protected (1/20th of the main capacity)
Now, let’s say Reznov has 3.5M Wood and gets attacked:
- The attacker steals 200K Wood
- After the attack, Reznov has 3.3M Wood left
- Out of that, 3.2M is protected by the storehouse, and the other 100K is secured (produced by buildings)
So, even though they got attacked, they didn’t lose much because most of their resources were either protected or secured.
Example 2:
Reznov has 180K Iron and gets attacked:
- The attacker steals 10K Iron
- After the attack, Reznov has 170K Iron left
- Out of that, 160K is protected by the storehouse, and the remaining 10K is secured (produced by buildings)
Again, only a small amount was lost since most of it was protected.
Final Tips to Keep Your Resources Safe
- Upgrade your storehouse – Higher levels mean more protection.
- Don’t keep too many non-secured resources – Use them for upgrades whenever you can.
- Use resource items wisely – Don’t open resource packs unless you need them.
- Stay shielded – If possible, use shields to prevent attacks.
