Drill Camp Explained

Drill Camp unlocks when your Town Center reaches level 13 in Kingshot. It lets you pick 5 heroes to focus your upgrades on, and the rest of your heroes will automatically match their level—without using any Hero EXP!

How Does Drill Camp Work?

Drill Camp has two tabs: Level Drills and Level Resets. Let’s start with Level Drills.

Level Drills

In this tab, you can choose 5 Drill Instructors. Below them, you’ll see Drill Slots, where you can place other heroes. As you upgrade your Town Center, more Drill Slots will unlock.

Any hero added to a Drill Slot will automatically match the level of the lowest Drill Instructor—without using any Hero EXP. For example, if the lowest Drill Instructor is level 30, all heroes in Drill Slots will also become level 30. This lets you focus all your Hero EXP on just the 5 Drill Instructors, while the rest of your heroes level up for free.

However, if you remove a hero from Drill Camp, their level will reset back to what it originally was.

Level Resets

In the Level Resets tab, you can reclaim the Hero EXP you spent on heroes that are now in Drill Slots. If you used a lot of Hero EXP on a hero before unlocking Drill Camp and that hero is now in a Drill Slot, you can reset them to get back the spent EXP.

Since heroes in Drill Slots automatically match the level of Drill Instructors without needing EXP, resetting them lets you use that EXP on the Drill Instructors instead.

How to change Drill Instructors?

To change Drill Instructors, go to the Level Resets tab in Drill Camp and reset their level.

When you reset a Drill Instructor, you’ll get back all the Hero EXP you spent on them, and they’ll be removed from Drill Camp. Then, the next highest-level hero who isn’t already in Drill Camp will automatically take their place as a new Drill Instructor.
