Rallies are a big deal in Kingshot because they matter in both PVP (Player vs Player) and PVE (Player vs Environment) battles. Knowing how they work helps you pick the right heroes for each situation.
Rally Captain and Rally Members
When you start a Rally against a Terror, event building, or another player, you become the Rally Captain. Your Alliance members can then join as Rally Members.

In the image above, the player in the red box is the Rally Captain, while the players in the green box are the Rally Members. Now that you understand this, let’s go over how rally skills are selected.

When starting a rally, you can choose a squad of three heroes: one Infantry hero, one Cavalry hero, and one Archer hero. These heroes are important because their skills determine the bonus buffs for all Rally Members.

The expedition skills and exclusive gear skills of these three heroes apply to everyone in the rally. In total, the Rally Captain can contribute up to nine skills—three from each hero.
Skills from Rally Members
As mentioned earlier, the Rally Captain contributes 9 expedition skills from their 3 selected heroes. In addition to that, 4 more skills are added to the rally from the Rally Members. These come from the highest-level top skill of the first hero in each Rally Member’s lineup.
If all Rally Members have maxed-out first skills on their heroes, the additional skills will be taken from the first four players who joined the rally. For example, if five players join a rally with Chenko as their first hero and all have Chenko’s “Stand of Arms” skill maxed, only the skills from the first four joiners will be applied.
In the image below, I am joining a rally using Chenko as my first hero. If Chenko has one of the 4 highest-level FIRST skills among all Rally Members, then Chenko’s FIRST expedition skill will be added as an extra skill to the rally.

Here’s what the final rally bonuses look like after all the members have joined the Rally:

My “Stand of Arms” skill for Chenko was selected as an additional rally skill because it’s Chenko’s first skill and it ranked among the 4 highest-level skills from all Rally Members.
A hero’s first skill is always selected if it qualifies, while the second and third expedition skills cannot be chosen as additional skills. So, if you want to be a better Rally Member, focus on upgrading the first expedition skill of your key heroes.
Some tips for better Rallies
- When selecting heroes for your rally, always prioritize those that provide universal buffs, such as those affecting “all troops,” “all friendly units,” or “squads.” For example, Gordon’s first expedition skill increases the health of all troops in the squad by 25%, while Chenko’s first skill boosts the squad’s lethality. These kinds of buffs are especially valuable in events like Bear Hunt.
- For Garrison, choose defender heroes like Gordon, as his first skill can boost the health of all Garrison troops by up to 25%.
- Let your strongest Alliance member be the Rally Captain for important events like Swordland Showdown. This way, the rally gets the best buffs. Also, communicate in the Alliance chat to coordinate which heroes the Rally Captain should select for special events or key battles.
