Kingshot Infantry Hero Guide: Zoe vs Alcar vs Others

Choosing an Infantry hero in Kingshot can be tricky because there are several options, and each has its own pros and cons. Picking the right one is especially important for F2P, low spenders, and mid spenders. Whales, of course, will probably unlock and max all heroes anyway.

Which Infantry Hero is Best for Bear Hunt?

One of the most common questions on the Kingshot Discord is: Which Infantry hero should I use for Bear Hunt if I don’t have Amadeus?

Many people recommend Zoe, but there’s something important to know. Her first damage skill, “Sundering Wound,” has a one-turn delay. If it triggers this turn, it actually activates on the next turn. The problem is that in Bear Battles, temporary effects reset at the start of every turn. Because of this, that skill never really works and gives zero value.

This leaves Zoe with only two damage skills (her 2nd and 3rd). That’s still better than Long Fei and Eric, who only have one damage skill each.

However, Alcar can deal more damage than Zoe. He also has two damage skills, but they are permanent and more consistent. You can even verify this in the Battle Simulator.

There’s also a big stat difference:

• Zoe: +240% Infantry Attack/Defense
• Alcar: +370% Infantry Attack/Defense

This difference comes from their generation gap (Zoe is Gen 2, Alcar is Gen 4).

If you only compare skills, Alcar usually does about 1–6% more damage than Zoe (depending on Zoe’s chance-based third skill). But when you include the extra +130% Infantry Attack from stats, the gap increases to around 4–9% (excluding widget stats).

So for Bear Hunt, Alcar is the better choice in Gen 4 and Gen 5.

Who is the Better Overall Infantry Hero?

Outside Bear Hunt, things change a bit. In PvP and rallies, all skills matter, including damage reduction and other effects, not just pure damage.

Another big factor is how easy a hero is to get and upgrade. This matters a lot for non-whales.

• Zoe and Long Fei are easier to obtain since they appear in Hero Roulette.
• Alcar can give better Bear Hunt scores and bigger rewards, but he’s harder to get. He mainly comes from Hero Rally, Daily Deals, Strongest Governor, and KvK.

Recommended Hero Plan

A smart path for most players would be:

• Get Zoe in Gen 2
• Get Petra in Gen 3
• Get Rosa in Gen 4
• Save your general shards across these generations
• Spend those shards on Alcar

By Gen 4, you could have a strong lineup of Petra, Rosa, and Alcar, which works great for events like:

• Swordland Showdown
• Tri-Alliance Clash
• Alliance Championship
• Bear Hunt
