Masters were added to Kingshot in the April 2026 update. You’ll unlock them once your server reaches Gen 3. Since then, a lot of players have been asking which Masters to upgrade first and how to approach them. In this guide, I’ll break down the upgrade priorities for both F2P players and spenders.
Right now, there are three Masters: Valora, Pan, and Roman (as of 5 May 2026). You can check their full details on the Kingshot Database.
Priorities for F2P and Low Spenders
Priority order:
- Pan
- Valora
- Roman
Valora and Pan are very close in priority, and both are strong choices.
Valora
Valora is great for F2P players mainly because of her 2nd and 3rd skills. These give free Forgehammers and Enhancement XP Parts, which are very valuable. Her talent that boosts damage can also help you score higher in Bear Trap, giving you better rewards.
Her 1st and 4th skills increase the number of troops you can send in Bear battles. These are less useful for F2Ps, since most players can’t fully fill all their marches as a joiner anyway.
Pan
Pan is my personal favorite for F2P and low spenders.
His 1st skill gives extra intel missions, while the talent gives Reserve Chests when gathering resources, which means extra Truegold daily, along with other rewards. This adds up a lot over time.
His 4th skill (Ways and Means) is also very useful. It gives extra Mystery Badges and free refreshes, which can lead to more widgets and pet materials.
His 3rd skill reduces building cost. It sounds good, but it becomes less useful later in the game when Truegold is your main bottleneck. Even at max level, it only saves around 8 hours of upgrade time, which isn’t a huge deal.
Roman
Roman is less important for F2P and low spenders. He’s mainly designed for competitive Arena players (whales).
If you’re F2P, it’s best not to go beyond level 30. Unlock his talent early so you can start getting Arena Star Chests from daily battles.
The most useful skills for F2Ps are his 2nd and 3rd skills.
F2P Skill Priority
Pan: Skill 1 > Skill 4 > Skill 2 > Skill 3
Valora: Skill 3 > Skill 2 > Skill 1 > Skill 4
Roman: Skill 2 > Skill 3 > Skill 4 > Skill 1
Priorities for P2W (Whales)
For P2W players, priorities change quite a bit.
Priority order:
- Roman or Valora
- Pan
As a whale, your main focus is improving battle performance to score higher in Arena and Bear Trap. Because of that, Roman and Valora become the top priorities.
Valora
Valora is extremely strong for Bear Trap.
As a spender, you should focus on her 1st and 4th skills first, since they increase the number of troops you can send into Bear battles. This directly boosts your damage and overall score.
Her 2nd and 3rd skills (Forgehammers and Enhancement XP) are still useful for improving your gear.
Roman
Roman is key for Arena performance.
You can choose your upgrade path depending on your situation:
- If you want better rewards, focus on Skill 2 and Skill 3 (more Mithril and Gear Chests).
- If you want better rankings and performance, focus on Skill 1 and Skill 4.
Pan
Pan is more F2P-friendly, so you should work on him after Valora and Roman.
He’s still useful for extra rewards through Intel Missions and Reserve Chests, but he’s not a priority for battle-focused players.
P2W Skill Priority
Valora: Skill 1 > Skill 4 > Skill 3 > Skill 2
Roman: (Skill 4 > Skill 1) = (Skill 2 > Skill 3)
Pan: Skill 1 > Skill 4 > Skill 2 > Skill 3
