What Items to Save for Future Events

There are several recurring events in Kingshot that require you to save specific items to do well, so I decided to put together a list of which items are useful for which events. This way, you can plan ahead and know what to save for each one.

Recruitment Keys

There are two types of keys: Advanced Recruitment Keys and Epic Recruitment Keys.
Right now, there’s no event that needs a huge amount of these.

Update: Call of the Sovereign is the first permanent event that requires recruitment keys, and this change happens once your kingdom enters Generation 3. To complete the event, you’ll need to save 90 Epic Recruitment Keys and 30 Advanced Recruitment Keys.

Charm Items

Charms Items don’t come into play until Hall of Governors (HoG) 4. On Day 4 of HoG 4, you’ll need to raise your Governor Charm score, so that’s when you can spend your Charm Items.

This is the list of events that use Charm Items:

  • HoG 4 and above
  • Officer Project Event
  • Stand of Arms Event
  • Kingdom of Power Event

All of these happen only after HoG 4 starts.

Governor Gear Items

These start becoming useful from HoG 2 onwards. There are multiple events that will ask you to upgrade your Governor Gear, so it’s a good idea to hold onto them.

Events that require Governor Gear Items:

  • Hall of Governors 2 and up
  • City Development Event
  • Officer Project Event
  • Armament Competition Event
  • Kingdom of Power Event

Enhancement XP Parts

These are used to level up Hero Gear, and they’re only useful in the first two weeks of a kingdom.

Once your kingdom gets the “Reforge” option for Hero Gear (which lets you recover spent Enhancement XP), the game stop including events for it—to prevent people from abusing the system.

So, only two events in the early game use Enhancement XP Parts:

  • Steel Edge Event
  • Hall of Governors 2
